It's a minimal goth/classic sort of look that I wore to work. I have a rather physically demanding job so my only accessories are the purple bow and the purple jeweled bracelet which you can't see in the pics. I know the style doesn't suit me but I hope I'm at least doing it right. This summer has been too hot for ankle-length skirts, frock coats, etc.


It's okay to say I look ridiculous/amateur/ugly/whatever. I'm not easily offended.

I think the black is lovely. I just feel the purple tights are out of place. It might work better if you had a pin or something that tied the black and purple together more.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree about the purple tights. My black ones weren't clean and I was in a hurry. I tried to tie it together more with the bow and a purple bracelet but it wasn't quite enough.

I actually think it looks pretty good on you. I like the purple tights; it gives a little edge that I personally think works for you. But if you could find some purple accessory to put on the dress itself, it would look great!

if i were you id drop the purple tights and the purple (plastic?) bow.
a headress or alice bow would be nice. and maybe some black overknee socks whot ruffles :3

Purple tights would work more if you had more purple accessories in the cord. Overall you are off to a great start. Good job.

@Kanon-chan: The bow is velvet actually but I would definatly have used an alice bow if I had one. I have black OTK socks but they're wool so I decided not to wear them as it was 85 degrees that day.

@spiderkittyofdoom: Yes, I've had bangs a few times. I always end up growing them out thought because I have to trim them weekly to keep them out of my eyes. My hair grows super fast. I actually just got a new hair cut. I'll post pics later!!! I wore black ballet flats. I would love the year black boots with this. If you find a good pair in US size 11, let me know.
