I agree with Serse!!!

Whoever thought that I was trying to be rude and offend everyone on the thread I'm sorry I was just posting what I thought like everyone else, I'm sorry if it came out rude and what not.
That's just how I see it and I'm not trying to attack anyone, I wasn't trying to cause an arguement.

That is a perfectly good reason too. They don't necessarily have to have a deep meaning, or any meaning at all. That's what i love about art work :)

Sometimes getting to far into the meaning can ruin the work. But for some people, who say...get a memorial tattoo will usually have thought about it for years. Others who get a tattoo to add to a sleeve will have to think of what they should add but it doesn't have to have any deep, bizarre meaning.

Personally I like eastern styled artwork, particularly traditional Japanese. These look amazing as tattoos in my opinion :)

Tats are usually a personal choice that have meaning to the individual. Of course, some of them can cause a lengthy explaination. Mine is the same one used by wiccans, and yet it has no wiccan meaning to me. It represents my Celtic heritage and my Christian religious belief.

Spider~What's funny is the last thing I would put on my body are names. Names can change, too. I didn't think you were starting any arguments, just your opinions.

I just don't like it when someone assumes I have a tattoo for no reason. There are people who go in and get a random tat that means nothing to them, they are usually the same people who get that tattoo removed years later. I do know a few people who got one to have one... and most of them had a lot of regret later about it. I think when you have a meaning (whether it is deep, personal or whatever) behind it you are much happier in the long run.

I follow a general rule that my artist told me when I was first deciding on what I wanted to get as a tattoo. Names should be reserved for memorial pieces, pets and close family members. If someone comes in and says they want their lover's name tattooed on them then he ends up talking to them for awhile about that decision because most people do not think that it is permanent and removal is extremely costly for someone who may or may not be in your life a year later.

I just had my nose pierced, I may or may not get more facial piercings but I doubt it. I love it though, it's cute. I paid for it so yea, I would wear it with a lolita outfit, when I get one Though I do plan on getting some tats, though probly not for a few more years. I have waited a long time to get them, I can continue to. My tattoo designs have meanings to them, which when i look to the future I see them still holding the meaning they had when I thought of them. And when I get old and wrinkly, why would I care? I am gonna be old! Why would I want people checkin me out?! I think body mods are neat, I would get everyone if I wouldn't hate the outcome later, but I will stick to my nose and the future tats and see where that goes.

I'm planning on getting something in the middle of my collarbone in a few years: something in hangul or planets and stars. Since most lolita dresses cover up that area and I like tattoos in cutesy, cartoony style, I don't think it'll clash.
It just depends on the amount of piercings and the tattoo style, like I don't think for example tribals will go well with lolita.

I want a Totoro tat on my ankle. I love the little...er, big beastie.
My daughter has suggested an Eiffel Tower, since I love the Eiffel Tower. But I don't know what the size would have to be in order for it not to blur later as I get older. Older then I am now, that is! *lol*

Totoro would be an adorable tattoo :)
