Now that the trolling/other nonsense has calmed a bit, this is an issue that needs to be tackled. There are too many questions that could be very easily answered with a little research, rather than asking the entire forum. We all have to start from somewhere, and we do encourage you to ask if you're unsure, but I really think this needs to be said in order to impose some quality control.
If there's something that you're unsure about, here are several steps you can take on your own that will, most of the time at least, lead you to the answer you're looking for.
Firstly do a search of the forums. There should be a link in the top right hand corner underneath the banner. Type in keywords that relate to your question, and if it's been asked before, it should come up. For example, if you were looking for somewhere that sold cheap clothes, you might type in 'cheap clothes' and it would come up with several posts containing that information.
If that fails, check
the main site. It is full of great, basic information and is a very good tool for newbies in particular. (although even more experienced members may want to check back now and again)
If you still can't find what you're looking for, go to
egl on livejournal. This is perhaps the best English language resource for lolitas in the world. Use the search function, or read through the memories. Be aware however that you may need to be a member or have a livejournal account to read some of the entries, as they may be locked.
If you're still really stuck, try googling it as a last resort. There are other reputable sources out there, although you will need to be able to sift through some of the more inaccurate ones. If you're unsure about a site, feel free to ask here for clarification. This is also good for things that aren't exclusively lolita, for example sewing and craft tutorials.
In general, please think about it before you ask something. Don't rely on everyone else to do your research for you, especially when it's incredibly easy these days to find information about lolita. Also, be specific about what exactly you're looking for and make sure your post adheres to the rules of this forum.
